This part of my station is still in progress! I’m in the process of installing an antenna for my base station. The radio will follow. Stay tuned! 🚀

I use a DESHIBO GA505 antenna, which I bought after reading good reviews. It has served me well for many years, especially for listening to my local airbands.

This was my very first SDR, and it holds a special place in my setup. I currently run it on a Raspberry Pi to catch 1090 MHz airplane packets.

Later on, I decided to upgrade to the SDRplay RSPdx-R2, since it’s much more powerful than the RTL-SDR.
Besides regular listening, I also plan to eventually use it as a panadapter for a radio that doesn’t have a built-in waterfall display.
